The project design is a flexible urban space in the centre of Milan. It will be a public foyer – a new place to meet – where cultural and exhibition spaces overlap. All surfaces will be cobbled with rounded stones and all gradients eliminated to create a continuous floor.
The Italian Gallery building and La Scala Theatre are included in the project of the square. Light and a sprinkler system to cool down the air are integrated into the seating area to improve the thermal comfort and to create amazing scenography.
La Scala Square has rediscovered the aulic features that had been lost in time.
