Can you work on heritage-listened properties?
Yes, we provide architectural and interior design services for heritage-listed properties. Woollhara has a unique history, spanning back spans to its Indigenous heritage through European settlement in 1790. Since then, Woollhara has been developed as a residential suburb and is home to over 700 heritage buildings and sites.
We understand the unique and rich history of Woollhara, and aim to encapsulate that in every heritage-listed property we work on in the suburb. Our architects and interior designers understand that to protect the past, we must embrace the future. With this in mind, we strive to make old buildings as functional and structurally sound as new ones.
We utilise modern technology, including discreet climate control systems, hidden wiring, and subtle solar solutions. Every heritage-listed project we take on in Woollhara abides by its council’s strict guidelines, while making every room comfortable and purposeful for today.
Will you apply for council approval?
Yes, we will apply for Developmental Approval (DA) from the Wollhara Council on your behalf. Our team has experience in managing all the necessary documents. We understand what to apply for depending on the scope of the project. We will prepare plans, drawings, Statement of Environmental Effects, and other material according to the requirements of the Woollhara DA Submission Matrix. After we lodge your application, fees to the council will be required immediately.
The Crush team will ensure that every step of your DA proposal is completed correctly before commencing work on your project to avoid fines or delays. Please note that while we will lodge your DA proposal within our agreed upon timeline, the council may require additional information for more complex cases, which can take longer to approve.
Yes, we offer interior design services across Woollahra and surrounding suburbs, in addition to our architectural services.
Our interior design process will start with a chat about your vision, ideas, and preferences. We’ll also talk about budget and timeline. Our interior design team will examine your property to understand the layout, gather documentation and property history, and evaluate heritage listing, zoning, or building code considerations.
Our designers will get the sketchbooks out and design the floor plan, layout, colour scheme, textures, style elements, materials, and finishes. We’ll design the interior with the exterior in mind, ensuring cohesiveness from the inside to the outside. Using BIM technology, your design plan will be transferred to a 3D model, where you can see your interior in detail. Upon obtaining your approval, we’ll proceed in getting council approval and move onto the construction stage.
